Dear Mr Maynes

I refer to your application under the Freedom of Information Act
1982requesting access to:

‘Did the Minister John Eren register the gifts received in March 2018
which included overseas flights to Japan, accommodation and tickets to the
Sunwolves v Rebels Rugby Union match and other hospitality gifts? Where
are these gifts recorded?’

Your application was received on 16 April 2018.

We advise that preliminary enquiries have been conducted and it has been
determined that your request is more closely related to the functions of
another agency - the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport
and Resources (DEDJTR). Consequently, your request was referred to that
department. Their contact details are as follows:

Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources
GPO Box 4509
Melbourne, VIC, 3001
Tel: [1](03) 9208 3112
Email: [2][email address]

The Act provides that an application fee of $28.40 must accompany each
request. You may wish to contact DEDJTR for instructions on how to pay the
application fee. The Act also provides that the application fee may be
waived or reduced if payment of the fee would cause financial hardship. If
you consider this to be the case, the fee may be waived or reduced on
production of a statement of how the payment of the application fee would
cause you hardship.

Also, please note that pursuant to section 17(2) of the Act, it may be
necessary for you to further clarify, or specify, your request so that
specific documents can be identified. Section 17(2) states:

“A request shall provide such information concerning the document as is
reasonably necessary to enable a responsible officer of the agency, or the
Minister, as the case may be, to identify the document.”

You may wish to contact DEDJTR for further advice regarding the clarity of
your request.

If you have any queries in relation to the above, I can be contacted via
email at [Victorian Department of Health and Human Services request email] or on (03) 9096 2004. Please quote our
reference number (F18/0566) in any correspondence.

Victorian Department of Health

Good afternoon Mr Maynes,

Please be advised that as outlined in our correspondence of 1 May 2018
your request is currently invalid as an application fee has not yet been
paid.

This correspondence also details that the documents to which you are
requesting access are more closely connected to the functions of another
agency; the contact details for that agency were provided in this
correspondence.

Also, the Freedom of Information Act 1982 in Victoria does not include an
option for internal review. Instead, in Victoria, the first avenue for
review of a decision you believe to be unsatisfactory is an external
review through the Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner.
Please find the contact details for the Commissioner below if you wish to
submit a review or complaint in relation to your request.

Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner
PO Box 24274
Melbourne Victoria 3001
Phone: 1300 842 364
[email address]

Thank you for your correspondence. I trust that the information above
provides you with enough direction to progress your request.

Kind regards,

Authorised Officer
