TGA FOI, Department of Health

Dear Mr Murphy,

I am writing to provide you with an update regarding your request for documents.

Recently, your request was transferred to the TGA, as the scope of your request is more appropriate to the TGA's purview.

As you would be aware, the TGA is experiencing a significant call on resources to manage Australia's response to COVID-19. Unfortunately this is having an impact on our ability to process requests in a timely fashion, and it has become apparent that the TGA may be unable to meet the current deadline for your request.

I would be grateful if you would consider agreeing to an extension (under section 15AA) of the Freedom of Information Act 1982, of fourteen (14) days for the processing of your request. If you agree to this extension, the decision on your request would then be due on or before 10 December 2021.

We would be grateful if you are able to advise according our request for extension by COB Thursday 25 November.

Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing from you.
