Documents relating to the decision not to preserve the Balgowlah Heights Precinct website.
Dear Manly Council,
The former Manly Council supported and resident organised Balgowlah Heights Precinct which was formed discuss matters referred by Council for community consultation, and matters of local importance and interest to the community.
The site contained information, reference material pertinent to community involvement in playing a vital role over many years in ensuring that future changes in the local area are taken into account, and are sympathetic to the amenity of the local residents.
With the amalgamation of Councils including Manly, (one of only 5 Sydney LGA's to have Precincts) the Precinct system was apparently abandoned and websites allowed to expire.
This request is for documentation including resolutions, reports, minutes, correspondence, recommendations, invoices, contracts/agreements relating to the (a) hosting of the Balgowlah Heights website and (b) the decision/s to allow to it to expire without ensuring to preserve its historically significant content.
Yours faithfully,
Michael Peters

Good Afternoon Mr Peters
Thank you for your email below.
For part (a) of your enquiry I have been unable to locate in Councils
system any resolutions, reports, minutes and recommendations in relation
to hosting the Balgowlah Heights Website, to obtain copies of any
contracts/agreements and correspondence held by Council regarding the
website this would require consultation with third parties and would need
to be lodged as a Formal Application, you can access the form with the
 below link:

I have been unable to find any documents in Councils system relating to
part (b), however I am following up with the relevant staff to provide an
answer and will be in touch when I hear back.
Kind Regards,
Annie Laing
