1. Why are there two "Escalator Attendants" at the York Street Escalators at Wynyard Station?
2. Will the "Escalator Attendants" assist in clearing clutter such as hawkers at the York Steet Exit, considering the significant of crush load when exiting Wynyard Station during peak hour.
3. How much does having two "Escalator Attendants" on duty cost the taxpayer/commuter?

I have been advised by the business area, as the Kent St tunnel is closed, there are escalator attendants who are there certain times of the day for a customer safety perspective only.

I am unable to provide you of the costing in regards to the escalator attendants, however you can request this information by lodging an Access Application under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 - http://www.transport.nsw.gov.au/about/ac....

There is an application fee of $30, which you can pay by credit card, cheque or money order. Alternatively, you can make the payment at your local Motor Registry or Service NSW office, should you wish to lodge an application.
