Ben Fairless made this Freedom of Information request to Australian Building Codes Board as part of a batch sent to 125 authorities

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Australian Building Codes Board,

Can I please have a copy of the current FOI Delegations, and any related directions issued in respect of FOI.

I believe this information could be considered "operational information" so I therefore request release under the IPS, or under Administrative Access.

Yours faithfully,

Ben Fairless

Dear Mr Fairless

I refer to your requests made under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) on 2 November 2016, to the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science (the department), the National Measurement Institute, Questacon, the Australian Building Codes Board and the National Carbon Capture and Storage Council (NCCSC). We will consider your correspondence as one request, directed to the department.

The department has interpreted your FOI request for ‘the current FOI Delegations, and any related directions issued in respect of FOI’ as seeking the current FOI authorisations made under section 23 of the FOI Act. Please find attached a copy of the current FOI Authorisations for the department, which the department is releasing to you administratively outside of the FOI Act. The department does not have directions related to the authorisation instrument.

Please be advised that the National Measurement Institute, Questacon and the Australian Building Codes Board are part of the department. This being the case, they are also covered by the attached instrument.

The NCCSC is no longer in existence and so the department has no current FOI delegations or directions relating to it.

Kind regards

FOI Team
