Dear Department of the Treasury,

Dear Sirs, I understand a foreign entity has recently purchased a substantial parcel of real property on the lower Noosa North Shore, Queensland.
Could you please provide me with full particulars including names, property descriptions and copies of contracts, correspondence etc to identify the transaction/s.

Yours faithfully,

David Grant

FOI, Department of the Treasury

Dear Mr Grant

I refer to your email of 1 July 2013 in which you sought access under the
Freedom of Information Act to:

Full particulars including names, property descriptions and copies of
contracts, correspondence etc to identify the transaction/s of a foreign
entity that has recently purchased a substantial parcel of real property
on the lower Noosa North Shore, Queensland.

We do not believe we will be able to begin processing this Freedom of
Information application in its current form as you have not supplied
sufficient information so that we can identify whether we have documents
or not. For example, you have not provided the name of the purchaser nor
have you supplied details of the property purchased. I would also like to
advise that we may not have information about purchasers of
properties/assets as the foreign investment screening process largely
deals with intentions to acquire properties/assets which may or may not
proceed.

Please email the FOI team at [1][Treasury request email] or phone on 02 6263
2800 within the next 14 days to discuss options to refine the scope of
your request. Alternatively, if you do not wish to discuss your request
further, we will deem it withdrawn after 14 days.

Kind regards
