OFFICIAL

Good afternoon Benjamin,

I refer to your FOI request (below) seeking access to documents in the possession of the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications (the Department) in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the FOI Act).

The purpose of this notice is to advise you that the area involved in processing your request has requested that you consider a refinement to the scope of your request. They have provided me with some alternative options for your consideration which are as follows:

1. Keep the current scope of your request, noting that the information will be displayed as per the example attached (note that this option will contain a document with some heavy exemptions applied and that an extension will be sought to process this request). The line area have advised that the information relating to the 'Classification reason type' field can be found online; or -

2. Refine the scope of your request to commercial content only. Please note that the format will remain as per the attached; or -

3.. Maintain your request in its current form, noting that it may be refused on the basis that it is too voluminous and would unreasonably divert resources, additionally, you may be charged for the processing involved in this request and the final product would involve heavy redactions. Again, an extension will be sought to process this request.

Please reply by email to [email address] with your preferred option by close of business Monday, 04 April 2022. We are happy to process a request that is workable and manageable for both parties.

Regards,

Kristin
