On 18 January 2026, the Australian National University (the University)
received your request for access to documents under the Freedom of
Information Act 1982 (the FOI Act).

The University has taken your request to be as follows:

‘I request all documents held by the ANU regarding the IVC announced
"internal ANU governance" review or stocktake. This was pitched to the ANU
community and media as an internally run process, due for release by end
of 2025, start of 2026.

Please include:

i) Scope, terms of reference or framework documents that outline the
purpose or intent of this ANU internal governance stocktake/review.

ii) Documents that relate to engaging a third party consultant to
undertake this internal piece of work. Including costs, timelines,
contracts, invoices and due diligence regarding internal staff capability
was not available.

iii) Presentations or papers presented to the University Executive/ANU
SLG/ANU ULG/ANU Council/ANU subcommittes for the internal governance
framework. Where the same presentation was used, only one copy is
requested.

iv) Discussions between Helen Sullivan and Rebekah Brown, or members of
the IVC, regarding the stocktake, including related performance bonuses
for completion’

Your request has been assigned the case number 202600014, please quote
this number for any future correspondence regarding your request

Processing Timeframe

The statutory time frame for processing your request is 30 calendar days
from day after the date your request was received by the University. You
should therefore expect a decision from us by 17 February 2026.

This period of 30 days may be extended if we need to consult third
parties, impose a charge or for other reasons. We will advise you in
writing if this happens.
