MAN YIN KONG AND ANNIE KONG

Dear Georges River Council Mail,

I and my wife have been calling the council three times and left 3 messages for their case compliance officer Sofia Sukka to call us back on October 6, 7 and 12 but without any response. It appears the Council staff have not taken our issue seriously and keep us updated of their investigation and findings.

As it relates to a serious public safety issue posing fire hazards to all our residents i.e. a number of illegal bedrooms in a cluster of apartments in three high rise apartment blocks located at 1B Pearl Street and 458-460 Forest Road Hurstville, like the notorious 2003 BANKSTOWN BIG APARTMENT FIRE DISASTER where one resident was killed and another totally incapacitated.

Therefore we pursue this matter for more transparency from Council compliance team as to the up to date information on the progress of their investigation.

Their Case No. BLD 2020-1037 refers.

Yours sincerely,

MAN YIN KONG AND ANNIE KONG
