Once an FOI request for documents has been received, an agency must, as soon as practicable, and no later than 30 days after receiving a request, take all reasonable steps to enable the applicant to be notified of a decision on the request
(s 15(5)(b)).

This request is neither complex nor difficult. It should not take months for ARPANSA to provide the requested document(s).

Dear Martin,

I appreciate you keeping me updated with the progress. However, you have made three promises of an expectation of finalising these requests and I am still awaiting a final response.

As you are probably aware, once an FOI request for documents has been received, an agency must, as soon as practicable, and no later than 30 days after receiving a request, take all reasonable steps to enable the applicant to be notified of a decision on the request.

As such I ask that you expedite this request and also conduct an internal review as for the delay.

Yours sincerely,

charlie:faulk
