Dear Information and Privacy Commission NSW,

I seek information related to the IPC activities with government agencies and non-
government entities (other than individial members of the public)

The IPC is an independent statutory body which uses considerable resources engaging with NSW government agencies.
I seek information detailing the resources used by the IPC for both government & non-government agencies.
This information (should) include(s):
a. a register of those non-government agencies / groups i. having engaged with /
ii. engaging with the IPC
b. a register of those government agencies / groups i. having engaged with / ii. engaging with the IPC
(in particular groups whose membership includes agency officers)
c. documents detailing any meetings the IPC has with:
i. consultants
ii. lobbyists
iii. any groups (members of the public constituting an interest group)
iv. any groups whose membership includes) agency officers
v. any commercial entities including external legal service providers
d. correspondence / minutes / documents arising from those engagements
e. The names & positions of those members of government agencies / groups
engaging with the IPC
(groups whose membership is predominantly (any) agency officers)
f. The names & positions of those in c.i.,ii.,iv.,v.
f. Documents / resources provided to any of the above from the IPC
g. Names & positions of those IPC staff engaging with any of the above

The above request does not seek the personal details of individual & non-commercial members of the public.
The request of agency officers names & positions should not constitute personal
information as those persons are representing their agencies and undertaking
tasks associated with their employment

The period requested is for the past 4 & current financial year

Yours faithfully,
Roland Truss

Dear Mr Truss,

I refer to your information access request dated 22 September 2021.

Please find attached the IPC Speaking Engagements Register for the past 5
years which details the organisations and topics the Commissioners have
presented on to government and non-government groups.

I can also confirm that the IPC does not engage with lobbyists and the
only consultants/commercial entities the IPC deal with that are not listed
in the Speaking Engagements Register are with respect to our internal
corporate services e.g. internal audit, legal advice, website hosting and
our internal case management system for recording reviews and complaints.

The names and positions of IPC Staff who have engaged with
government/non-government groups and consultants and commercial entities
listed above are the Commissioners and the Executive of the IPC and their
details can be found in our Annual Report on pages 7, 9 and 17 in the link
below:

Dear Ms Yasmine Salameh
Manager, Systems and Corporate Services

I refer to my GIPA request.
Thank you for the schedule of meetings that the IPC has had with various groups.

Please note that my request included:
d. correspondence / minutes / documents arising from those engagements
f. Documents / resources provided to any of the above from the IPC

It seems highly likely given the types of meetings that the IPC has listed in the schedule, that
correspondence / minutes / other documents would have been generated by those meetings and provided to the IPC.

Would you please provide those documents requested?

Should you refuse,I request an internal review

Yours faithfully,

Roland Truss
