Dear NSW Office of State Revenue,

1. NSW local council name (row1)
2. Financial year (col1)
3. Parking meter income (col2)
4. Parking station income (col3)
5. Parking fine income (col4)
6. Parking tickets issued (col5)

Please only include financial years from 2010 onwards

Yours faithfully,

Will B

GIPA-DFSI, NSW Office of State Revenue

Hi Will,

I have contacted Revenue NSW to clarify your request and they have come back with the following:

1. We don't possess any information in relation to how much income individual councils receive from parking meters or parking stations - the applicant would have to seek this information from each individual council or see if it was in their annual reports. We don't hold this data.
2. There have been council amalgamations at various times since 2010, which means that data cannot reasonably be compared across financial years - this wasn't simply a matter of two or more local government areas being combined - in some cases parts of one LGA were split between different LGAs.
We can provide numbers and face value for parking PNs issued by different councils in different financial years, however given (2) above, this may not make for any valid comparisons.

Taking the above feedback into consideration, please let us know if you would like to reframe the scope of your request.

Best regards
