Operation of Surveillance Cameras in Dayboro

Adrian Kenny made this Right to Information request to Moreton Bay Regional Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Moreton Bay Regional Council did not have the information requested.

Dear Moreton Bay Regional Council,

I'd like to request information about the surveillance cameras operating from buildings overlooking Williams Street and Bradley Street in Dayboro.

What was the reason for installing these cameras?
Which organisation operates the cameras?
Are they used for live monitoring, or recording of data, or both?
If data is recorded:
What type of data is recorded (video, audio, still images)?
Where is the data stored (locally, nationally, overseas)?
For how long is the data stored (short term, indefinitely)?
What types of analysis are carried out on the data (ANPR, facial recognition, gait recognition, etc)?
Is the data shared with, or accessed by, any third parties? If so, whom, and for what purpose?
Is the data used for any commercial or marketing purposes?

Many thanks.

Yours faithfully,

Adrian Kenny
