I am seeking access to policy material used by the Australian Army to manage Out of Corps Postings. My request covers documents explaining how Army members apply for these postings, how applications are assessed, and who holds approval authority.

*MILPERSMAN sections covering Out of Corps arrangements,
*Defence Instructions, policy directives, or doctrine used by DCM-A or Workforce, Management staff when processing Out of Corps applications,

accordance with the FOI Guidelines issued by the Office of the Australian
Information Commissioner under section 93A of the FOI Act.

The current statutory due date for you to receive a response is 18
December 2025. Please note that Defence is subject to a reduced work
period during December and January. 

 

Defence is continuing to process your request however due to ongoing
considerations of the material and limited resources, we are seeking your
agreement to a 30-day extension of time under section 15AA of the FOI Act.
The additional time will allow us to ensure we make a robust decision on
access. If you agree to the extension, the new statutory timeframe to
provide you with a decision will end on 17 January 2026.

 

It would be much appreciated if you could confirm your agreement to this
extension of time via e-mail by close of business 11 December 2025.
