We're waiting for Karen Wilde to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Victorian Building Authority,

I write to request a number of all prosecutions and inquiries held, between 2015 - present, broken down by plumbing vs. building practitioner and year.

All I seek is a number of all prosecutions or inquiries finalised, broken down by plumbing vs. building practitioner and year.

I don't want case numbers, I don't want any names of practitioners, I just want total numbers, generated from some sort of tracking software or spreadsheet.

Yours faithfully,

Karen Wilde

Dear Karen,

I refer to your application, received by the Victorian Building Authority
(VBA) on 15 March 2022, in which you sought access to documents under the
Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Vic.) (FOI Act).

You advised that you are seeking access to:

I write to request a number of all prosecutions and inquiries held,
between 2015 - present, broken down by plumbing vs. building practitioner
and year.

All I seek is a number of all prosecutions or inquiries finalised, broken
down by plumbing vs. building practitioner and year.

I don't want case numbers, I don't want any names of practitioners, I just
want total numbers, generated from some sort of tracking software or
spreadsheet.

Section 17(2A) of the FOI Act requires that an application fee of $30.10
accompany a request for access. This fee did not accompany your request.
The VBA cannot process your request until you pay the application fee.

Please note that the accepted methods of payment require disclosure of
personal financial details (such as credit card information) via the
attached application form. Your request appears to be processed through a
third party. The VBA takes no responsibility for the third party’s
security or actions in handling your personal information. Alternatively,
you can contact us directly to pay the fee.

If you are unable to pay the fee on the basis that payment would cause you
hardship, please state your reasons in writing and provide any evidence
that you believe would support your claim. Please advise whether you are
requesting for the fee to be waived, or reduced to a certain amount to
avoid the payment causing you hardship. A decision will then be made as to
whether your hardship claim is accepted or not and you will be informed of
the outcome along with any applicable review rights.

Please complete the payment details section of the attached form and
return to [1][Victorian Building Authority request email] by 7 April 2022, or otherwise make your
application for the fee to be waived or reduced on the basis that payment
would cause hardship, in order to make your request valid under the FOI
Act. If the VBA does not receive your response by this date, your request
may be closed without further notice.

Please include your reference number FOL/22/708 in your email.

Yours sincerely,

Rebecca Fraser
