Dear Civil Aviation Safety Authority,

This is an application to access documents held by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (“CASA”) pursuant to s15 of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth).

Please provide copies of documents that are held in relation to reports of unsafe remotely operated aircraft (drones) made in 2017, specifically:

1. Reports made to CASA of unsafe remotely operated aircraft (drones) made in 2017

2. Documents in connection with CASA's response to the reports in point 1.

Copies of the documents can be supplied via return email.

CASA received your request on 29 March 2018 and the 30 day statutory period for processing your request commenced from the day after that date. You should therefore expect a decision from us by 29 April 2018.

The period of 30 days may be extended if we need to consult third parties or for other reasons. We will advise you if this happens.
