Tahlia Kraefft

Dear National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority,
I am a Masters student at the University of Technology Sydney.
I am seeking a copy of the third Environmental Safety Plan for Drilling in the Great Australian Bight that BP submitted to NOPSEMA, and was setback in September 2016 by NOPSEMA.
I am also seeking any additional documents on BP's final plan to respond in the case of an uncontrolled blowout and whether they made reference to keeping a capping stack on call.

Yours faithfully,
Tahlia Kraefft

Dear Ms Kraefft

Under the Freedom of Information Act, NOPSEMA released BP’s Environment Plan, consisting of the Oil Pollution Emergency Plan (OPEP) withdrawn by BP on 20 December 2016 (including associated correspondence), and Well Operations Management Plan (WOMP) submitted to NOPSEMA by BP on 19 May 2016 and withdrawn by BP on 20 December 2016.

They can be found on NOPSEMA’s FOI disclosure log here: https://www.nopsema.gov.au/resources/foi...

These documents are numbered under FOI 086 and FOI 081 respectively, and contain the information you are seeking. Specifically, the WOMP references the use of capping stacks.

Kind regards
