Request for Information Regarding Misconduct Complaints
Dear University of Technology Sydney,
I am writing to formally request government information documents from the University of Technology Sydney regarding alleged sexual harassment and sexual assault complaints, a matter of public interest.
I am requesting information relating to the following:
1. The total number and nature of alleged sexual assault/sexual harassment/sexual misconduct complaints made to the University of Technology Sydney made against Peter Fray and Ben Cubby.
2. The number and nature of any disciplinary actions taken by the University of Technology Sydney in relation to complaints and/or incidents of alleged sexual assault/sexual harassment/sexual misconduct made against Peter Fray and Ben Cubby.
Please proceed with this request as a formal request under the Freedom of Information Act 1991.

I refer to your formal request under the Commonwealth Freedom of
Information (FOI) Act through the Right to Know website. UTS is not
covered by the Commonwealth FOI Act, as such your application under this
act is not valid.
The right to information legislation that UTS operates under is the NSW
Government Information Public Access (GIPA) Act. The requirements to
submit a valid formal access application under the NSW GIPA Act include:
· be in writing and lodged with UTS
· indicate it is an application under the GIPA Act
· nominate a postal or email address where correspondence relating
to the application should be sent
· include enough information to enable UTS to identify what is
being requested, and
