Dear Jason

The Freedom of Information Act provides for persons to obtain access to a "document" of an agency, however, section 15(2)(b) states that persons need to provide sufficient information concerning the "document" to enable the agency to identify it. In this case you have not provided enough detail to identify the relevant documents.

In addition, although section 17 provides for access to information which could be easily retrieved and collated from a database, in this case, it is not possible to easily search for that kind of data given the broad nature of your request.

The Australian Bureau of statistics provides for information on domestic violence at: http://www.domesticviolence.com.au/pages...

You might wish to contact that agency about your request.
