Request to know the number of international nurses who passed OBA from 2020 to 2022

Department of Health did not have the information requested.

Dear Department of Health,

Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia implemented an Outcomes-Based Assessment for Internationally qualified registered nurses in 2020 which resulted in decline in the number of overseas registered nurses getting Australian nursing registration through AHPRA.
OSCE is the practical component in The Outcomes-Based Assessment for IQRNS. The Objective Structured Clinical Examination is a multifunctional assessment tool that may be used to evaluate IQRN’s in a clinical context.

I would like to know the total number of Internationally qualified nurses who passed the newly introduced Outcomes-Based Assessment in 2020, 2021 and 2022 till date and a historical data of number of internationally qualified nurses who gained registration in Australia during the period of November 2018 to May 2020.

Yours faithfully,

Geons Jose
