Dear Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads,

I would like information about the number and value of $2.50 penalties (default fares) incurred since 5 August 2024, when the $0.50 fares were introduced.
Please break these numbers down by:
- total number and value of penalties / default fares
- number and value of penalties / default fares related to go cards
- number and value of penalties / default fares refunded
- number and value of penalties / default fares related to go cards that were refunded.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,
Yusuf Moolla

Dear Carl Watson,

This is a summary of what has happened since you replied to my request:
1. I submitted a request via the QLD Govt Open Data portal.
2. The initial response to that requeest was a comment, asking that I submit the request via email.
3. I sent that email, and it was asknowledged.
4. I then received a notification from the Open Data portal, saying ""Default fares since August 2024" data request has been closed. Check the accepted dataset in CKAN!"
5. When I go to the request, it says closed, and "Not suitable for release as open data".

Does this mean that my request for information has been denied?

Thanks
Yusuf Moolla
