Dear MBX FOI,
Thank you Kathryn,
Appreciated your help in locating some of the information online.
Basically I was requiring maps of the actual departing and arriving flight path into Hobart Airport BEFORE all 2017 changes. This may only be a map or two??
I have also received confirmation from ASA that a map presented as March 2025 was actually the same Hobart flight path as 2019.
What is missing from this map is the international flight paths routes from NZ and Asia...as we already had these flights passing over our communities, but these flights seem to be on an ad hoc route.
So just to confirm, if you could supply the Hobart flight path maps prior to 2017 flight changes and the currently used 2025 flight path maps that include both international and domestic arrival and departure routes
Hope this will reduce the workload scope for this FOI request.
Yours sincerely,
Cathy Minnucci

Dear Ms Minnucci
Thank you for your response below, however, we need to further refine the
scope of your request please.
We have interpreted your revised request to cover:
i. the Hobart departing and arriving flight paths that were in place prior
to the flight path changes implemented in September 2017; and
ii. the current Hobart departing and arriving flight paths that include
both international and domestic arrival and departure flight paths.
If the above interpretation is correct, please confirm whether:
1. paragraphs i. and ii. of your revised request is seeking copies of
google earth images overlaid with flight paths (which you also refer
to as ‘flight path maps’ in your correspondence). For example:
2. If your answer is yes to clarification question number 1 above, please
confirm our understanding that:
a. Figure 1 illustrating arrival flights paths to runway 30 one
month prior to the flight path changes implemented in September
2017 taken from page 3 of the following report
[1]17-0122-BKT-HobartReviewReport.pdf_072bba732f2647f0ad0d99c32a358ae4
would satisfy part of paragraph i. of your revised FOI request;
and
b. Figure 3 on page 7 of
[2]YMHB_NewSIDS-STARS_EnvAssessment_28Jun17_webpage.pdf_839d13667d5d23a56b1ad5c62ebffb5c
that depicts arrival (in red) and departure (in green) flight
paths in February 2017 would satisfy all of paragraph i. of your
revised FOI request as Figure 3 ‘depicts the Hobart departing and
arriving flight paths that were in place prior to the flight path
changes implemented in September 2017’.
3. If your answer is yes to clarification question number 2 above, please
confirm the remaining scope of your FOI request is:
Requesting a copy of current Hobart departing and arriving flight paths
(i.e. google earth images overlaid with flight paths) that includes both
international and domestic arrival and departure flight paths
4. If the revised scope in clarification question number 3 above is not
accurate, please provide further information to assist our
understanding and to guide our document searches. Please also provide
a copy of or link to the March 2025 map referred to in your
correspondence below.
Kind regards
Kathryn

Dear MBX FOI,
Dear MBX FOI,
Good afternoon Kathryn
I have checked the Online documents in the links you previously supplied to me.
I need a copy of the Hobart flight paths BEFORE all changes were made.
To make it clear-
1: please provide 2016 flight map/s which incorporate all arrivals and departures into Hobart Airport.
2: YES: Requesting a copy of current Hobart departing and arriving flight paths
(i.e. google earth images overlaid with flight paths) that includes both
international and domestic arrival and departure flight paths.
In regard to 2: March 2025 image was provided to Hobart CACG's March Meeting by ASA representative. When queried about image it was confirmed to be the 2019 flight map.
This map would have no bearing on my request as per no 2.
Hope this helps narrow it down.
Yours sincerely,
Cathy Minnucci
