Dear Mr Herron,

Thankyou for your rapid response. Earlier this year I corresponded with NSW Fair Trading outlining a concern that the name was may be in contravention of Australian Consumer Law. NSW Fair Trading responded, advising that the matter was outside their jurisdiction and was being referred to federal counterparts for their consideration.

My understanding, which could be erroneous, is that if a state level body refers a matter which they consider to be a federal issue of competition or consumer law to a federal counterpart, that counterpart is the ACCC.

I am primarily curious if my concern was referred to the ACCC and if the ACCC took action, or if the name change is a simple and routine matter of corporate rebranding.

Yours sincerely,

Geordie Guy
