$45,000 an episode?!

I'm all for calling out trash in the media, but $45,000 strikes me as a steep price to pay.

There's no shortage of snarky Englishmen (or Aussies). Nor is there a shortage of video-cameras or low cost platforms, like YouTube, on which people can call out rubbish journalism.

I think there's something to be said for the concerns about economic inefficiency at Auntie.

If only the CSIRO could transmute Paul Barry's snark into effective baseload power - $45,000 an episode would be a fine investment.
