Dear Owen,

I'm afraid both emails are missing the 2nd page. To make it easier for you, I would prefer to receive correspondence either in plain text (in the email) or in Microsoft Word format (scanned PDFs can be difficult to read). I understand a plain text/MS Word document wouldn't be signed.

Yours sincerely,

Ben Fairless

One of the documents I received in relation to AAT 2014/3361 indicates the following revenue from licensing EasyCount:

(i) 2005: license to SA Electoral Commission for 2006 and 2010 state elections: $40,000

(ii) 2008: license to NT Electoral Commission for NT shire elections for $20,000 plus $5,000 for each further electoral event prior to the 2012 NT shire elections

(iii) 2013: negotiations "are underway" (9 Dec 2013) for licensing to SA Electoral Commission for SA LegCo elections in 2014

In addition, EasyCount was used in the earning of revenue in FY 2012/13 in the following programs:

(i) Industrial elections - total revenue $1,132,020.22

(ii) Fee for service elections - total revenue $1,502,403.60

Dear Owen Jones,

A response to my FOI request is overdue. I look forward to the AEC providing the requested information as soon as possible.

Yours sincerely,

Ben Fairless
