Good afternoon,

Please be advised that, on and from 30 July 2020, the NSW Police Force no longer accepts email as an approved facility for the making of a valid application for information under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act).

Applications are now made through the NSW Police Force Community Portal.

As such, in accordance with section 41(1)(a) of the GIPA Act, your application made via email is invalid as it is not made in a manner approved by the NSW Police Force.

If you are not satisfied with this decision, you may exercise your review rights under Part 5 of the Act by requesting:

• an internal review of the decision which must be lodged within 20 working days from the date of this notice, or

• an external review of the decision by the Information Commissioner or the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) which must be lodged within 40 working days from the date of this notice.
