Updated List of NSW Government Agencies

Tracy Huang made this Government Information (Public Access) request to State Records Authority of New South Wales

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear State Records Authority of New South Wales,

I have obtained a list of all the Public Offices under NSW Government as of 30/06/2016 previously provided through this portal.

Can I please get the most current version of the same list? Thanks in advance.

Yours faithfully,

Tracy

Hi Tracy,

There is information about NSW State Government Departments available online at https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/nswgovdir...

This might cover what you need.

Good luck

Steph

Hi Steph,

Thank you very much for your quick response! This is a very helpful link.

My only other question is that, are the agencies listed under the Department directory a complete list of all the agencies in each cluster? In the previous list, the agencies are grouped by Clusters, I understand that each Cluster has a "main" Department. Are there any other agencies/government entities in each Cluster that might fall outside the Department's listings on that Directory page?

My main goal is to get a complete list of agencies that currently fall under each cluster, and I was hoping to get something similar to that "Public Offices as at 30 June 2016" list which is exactly what I was looking for (albeit out of date).

Many thanks for your time again.

Kind regards,
Tracy

Dear Tracy

Thank you for your email.

NSW State Archives and Records maintains a listing of NSW Government
public offices (as defined by section 3 of the State Records Act), for
internal use, primarily for the purposes of administering Parts 2 and 3 of
the State Records Act 1998. I have attached the most recent listing for
your information. It is a listing of government organisations covered by
the State Records Act at a point in time, which is updated as required.

I am advised by our ‘Right to Know Officer’ that this request for
information is considered an informal release of information.  If you
require any further information not readily available on our website or
otherwise, you have the option to formally apply for access to that
information pursuant to the Government Information (Public Access) (GIPA)
Act 2009.  Information on how to obtain any further information is
available on our website at
[1]https://www.records.nsw.gov.au/about-sta...

I hope that this information is of assistance.

regards

Catherine
