Dear Australian National University,
I am writing to request access to documents under the Freedom of Information Act 1982.
I seek access to any correspondence between:
Either:
a. the ANU Council, or
b. the ANU Council’s Audit and Risk Committee,
and:
Either:
a. the Office of the Chancellor (including the Chancellor), or
b. the Office of the Vice-Chancellor (including the Vice-Chancellor),
that relates to the prior procurement of speech writing services from Murray Hansen and/or Vinder Consulting.
The date range for this request is 1 February 2025 to 1 April 2025.
For the purposes of this request, “correspondence” should be taken to include (but not be limited to) emails, letters, briefing notes, meeting papers, attachments, text messages, Teams messages, or any other written communication.

On 18 November 2025, the Australian National University (the University) received your request for access to documents under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the FOI Act).
The University has taken your request to be as follows:

Processing Timeframe
The statutory time frame for processing your request is 30 calendar days from day after the date your request was received by the University. You should therefore expect a decision from us by Thursday 18 December 2025.
