V/Line Platform Announcements (Southern Cross)

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Public Transport Victoria should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Public Transport Victoria,

I would like to request a copy of all platform announcement files used at Southern Cross for V/Line services

I’d like to confirm that I will use these files for personal use only, and will remain in my sole possession.

Per the advice given on the Victorian Government’s Freedom of Information Request page, I wish to determine whether these files can be obtained: without a formal request or is publicly available, before making a formal request through the Victorian Freedom of Information Act.

It is also to my understanding that these files would not be exempt from the FOI Act.

Yours faithfully,
Rohan McMaster

Platform xx. This service will be stopping at: <station name>, <station
name>, <station name>, <station name>, <station name>, <station name>. The

Dear Rohan,

I have conferred with my counterpart at V/Line Corporation in relation to
your query.

It is more appropriate for [1]V/Line’s FOI Team to deal with your query,
and have I have copied them into this message.

V/Line will be able to advise whether you need to lodge a formal FOI
request for the audio files you seek, or whether other forms of access may
be appropriate.

Many thanks.

Regards,

Gavin
