Wait Time Reports for specialist hospital clinics

Cail Young made this Freedom of Information request to Victorian Department of Health

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

This request has been withdrawn by the person who made it. There may be an explanation in the correspondence below.

Dear Victorian Department of Health and Human Services,

The AIHW directed me to the following information on the performance data portal:

https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/d...

I would like to request the final specialist clinic wait time reports for all quarters since the beginning of data collection (2012 according to the PDF reports linked above), preferably in an accessible format (I.e. tables that are importable to other software rather than PDF files for printing).

If the above reports are not available, I would like to request documents containing the data sets provided to VINAH by the specialist clinics that would have been used to create the above reports for the same time frame.

If those are not available, I would like to request any documents that contain data regarding the wait time between referral and initial specialist appointment for both urgent and routine referrals across Victorian hospitals for the time period since 2012 that the department holds.

If this can be handled as an informal request that is fine with me, otherwise please proceed as a formal FOI request.

Yours faithfully,

Cail Young

Your application was received on 14 June 2018.

The Act provides that an application fee of $28.40 must accompany each
request. Please forward a cheque or money order for $28.40, made payable
to the Department of Health and Human Services at the following address:

Freedom of Information unit
Department of Health & Human Services
GPO Box 4057

The Act also provides that the application fee may be waived or reduced if
payment of the fee would cause financial hardship. If you consider this to
be the case the fee may be waived or reduced on production of a statement
of how the payment of the application fee would cause you hardship. I have
included a copy of the statement of hardship form that you need to
complete if you would like the application fee waived.

Please note your request cannot proceed until the application fee or your
statement of hardship has been received as it is not a valid request. I
would appreciate it if you would respond by 23 July 2018, otherwise I will
assume that you do not wish to proceed with your request and no further
action will be taken by the department.

I can be contacted via email at [Victorian Department of Health and Human Services request email] or on (03) 9096 2004.
