Dear Gold Coast City Council,
Water inundation from GCCC land onto 17 Larentia St Currumbin Waters Qld 4223.
Commencing 15 April 2019 I advised GCCC Water of constant water coming onto my land from GCCC Water asset.
From then until late October 2019, constant communications and actions on my part, including two meetings with Cnr Gail O'Neill, resulted in GCCC Water not acknowledging responsibility for this water inundation problem.
I was left with no option but to assign an engineer and specialist drainage plumber to correct the extensive damage done to the stability of my house and the grounds.
On the 21 October I identified the source of the water inundation, subsequently GCCC Water staff and private contractor worked for two days to correct the problem within GCCC Water assets.
Water no longer comes onto my land, hence the problem was water coming onto my land through GCCC assets.
I have maintained excellent records commencing mid April until current. These written records are supported with images and videos of the problem, engineer's drawings and invoice, plus specialist drainage plumber's extensive work and invoices.
To complete my records, I now request, through FOI, all GCCC communications re my property.
