Dear Mr Danaci

Infringement numbers IESL10162 and IESL10944

Council has recently been contacted by the Ombudsman’s Office in relation
to your enquiry regarding infringement numbers IESL10162 and IESL10944.

As requested by you, infringement number IESL10944 was withdrawn for
charges to proceed to the Magistrates Court (refer to our letter to you
dated 25 June 2021).  Infringement number IESL10162 was withdrawn for
Court on 21 July 2021.

However, as agreed with the Ombudsman’s office, Council is offering a
final opportunity for you to resolve the matters before Court.

Council will waive the penalty reminder notice costs of $25.80 for each
infringement if payment is received in full, or a payment plan request
submitted to Council, no later than close of business Friday 12 November
2021.

The outstanding balance is:

o Infringement IESL10162 $330.00
o Infringement IESL10944 $1983.00

You may submit a payment plan request for $88.96 per fortnight by
completing an online form at [1]www.hume.vic.gov.au/infringements,
emailing us at [2][email address], or completing a form in
person at a Customer Service Centre.

If you are unable to pay this amount, you may complete the attached
financial hardship application form and, if you demonstrate you are
experiencing financial hardship, payments can be reduced to $44.48 per
fortnight.

If payment is not received in full, or if you do not apply for a payment
plan, by close of business Friday 12 November 2021 the matters will
proceed to Court without further notice.

For your information, attached is a copy of our internal review response
letter dated 16 March 2021 which advises why Council was unable to
withdraw the infringement notices.

Please contact the Infringement Management Unit by email to
[3][email address] or by phone (03) 9205 2200 if you have any
further enquiries in relation to this matter.

A copy of this response will also be sent by post, however postage will be
delayed due to restricted access to the office as a result of the current
lockdown restrictions.

Please do not reply to this email. Any response should be directed to
[4][email address].

Yours sincerely,
