Cancer drug trials

Emma Grace made this Freedom of Information request to Department of Health

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was refused by Department of Health.

Dear Department of Health,

I am requesting under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 information about the drug trials on Cancer patients.
The information I am looking for is what type of cancer patients will the drug be tested on; that being Lung, Breast or Skin Cancer patients. As well as the age group you will be using these drugs on; young, middle aged or aged care patients with cancer. I would also like the outcomes and the findings from the testings that were/have been conducted.
Lastly I would like to request how long the drugs will be or have been trialled for?

Yours faithfully,

Emma Grace

Dear Ms Grace,

I refer to your FOI request of 29 February to the Department of Health (as
below).

Section 15 of the FOI Act requires that a request for documents meets
certain requirements.  Your request, in its current form, does not
constitute a valid request. Please note that the Act provides for access
to documents and not to 'information'.  In order for your request to be
processed under the provisions of the FOI Act you must provide us with
further information to enable us to identify the document or documents you
are seeking.    For example, you would need to include the specific name
of the medicine you are referring to and/or the trial details etc.

Please don't hesitate to contact me should you have any further questions.

Kind regards
