Dear Department of Health,

Questions have been raised publicly as to the potential Conflicts Of Interest among the people chosen to conduct the:

Policy review on the regulation, sale and marketing of e-cigarettes with or without nicotine, and the practice of “vaping”.

Please advise as to the potential COI that were reported by the applicants chosen to conduct said review.

Yours faithfully,
Andrew Thompson

The tender adds: https://www.tenders.gov.au/?event=public...
"Where a Tenderer has disclosed, under paragraph 35.1 of this RFT, the Tenderer must also propose mechanisms for managing any conflicts of interest.."

It would be immensely helpful if this closely related information could be included within this FOI request. If not, please let me know ASAP and I'll raise a separate FOI for it.

FOI, Department of Health

Dear FOI,

It seems that the department is dragging its heels on a decision in regard to waiving the fee for the information requested, which I would expect amounts to no more than photocopying a couple of pages of the original tender.

I will not go away. I will not back down. It is high time the department provided this information about what has been a very private and closed inquiry into e-cigs that many smokers have used to give up smoking, and many more might.

Please stop stalling!

Yours sincerely,

Andrew Thompson

Andrew Thompson

Dear FOI,

It has been a month since the Department of Health authorised the waiver of charges, yet we've received no reply. How to proceed?

Yours sincerely,

Andrew Thompson
