Communication between the Ministers and Joe Kaeser, CEO of Siemens AG

Chris Gentle made this Freedom of Information request to Department of Industry, Innovation and Science

The request was successful.

From: Chris Gentle

Delivered

Dear Department of Industry, Innovation and Science,

Mr Joe Kaeser, CEO of Siemens AG recently published an excerpt from a letter sent from Senator the Hon Matt Canavan on the topic of Siemens' recently-signed service contract with Adani for the Carmichael Mine and related activities.

The statement by Mr Joe Kaeser refers to the ministers' letter as a "response to me" and notes the date of that letter as December 18, 2019, but I note copies of this letter provided to Bevan Shields of the SMH are undated so this date may not be accurate.

Can you please provide me a copy of all of the correspondence from Joe Kaeser or Siemens AG that the minister was responding to and a copy of any ministers' or department correspondence that was sent to Mr Joe Kaeser related to this matter?

Yours faithfully,
Christopher Gentle
