Correspondents recieved following certain raids

We're waiting for Glenn Hamiltonshire to read a recent response and update the status.

Glenn Hamiltonshire

Dear Inspector of the National Anti-Corruption Commission,

This is a Freedom of Information Request for the purposes of the Freedom of Information Act 1982.

For the context of this request, I reference the following article published on 9 August 2024 in the Sydney Morning Herald, titled 'National Anti-Corruption Commission raided home of Bruce Lehrmann' (https://www.smh.com.au/politics/federal/...)

I request access to any correspondents received by the Inspector of the National Anti-Corruption Commission relating to the raids discussed in the article from any of the following individuals:
a. Bruce Lehrmann
b. John Macgowan
c. Zali Burrows

Given this request will, inherently, involve the consultation of third-parties, I provide consent to any extension of time required as a part of conducting searches.

Please exclude duplicates and documents already publicly released, including media releases, reports, articles and statements to the media. Please limit emails to the final message in the chain as long as previous messages are captured.

I agree to having the names and direct contact details of non-senior staff removed, however I request that redactions do not include non-personally identifying information. For example, please leave the domain and job titles when redacting email addresses or signature blocks on emails.

I preemptively agree to requests for third party consultation if necessary, but would prefer that my information about my identity is not shared with those consulted.’

Yours faithfully,

Glenn Hamiltonshire

AGD FOI Requests,

OFFICIAL

Dear Mr Hamiltonshire

We are writing to acknowledge your FOI request to the Inspector of the
National Anti-Corruption Commission (INACC). The request has been
forwarded to the FOI team within the Attorney-General’s Department (the
department) for processing under administrative support arrangements with
the INACC.

We acknowledge your request and seek your agreement to exclude certain
information from your request.

Your request was made in the following terms:

I request access to any correspondents received by the Inspector of the
National Anti-Corruption Commission relating to the raids discussed in the
article from any of the following individuals:

a. Bruce Lehrmann

b. John Macgowan

c. Zali Burrows

Your FOI request was received on 8 September 2025 and the 30-day statutory
period for processing your request commenced on the following day. The
statutory due date for decision is currently Wednesday 8 October 2025. The
statutory period may also be extended if we need to consult third parties
or for other reasons permitted under the FOI Act. We will advise you if
this happens.

Confirming certain information to be excluded from the scope of your
request

We note that you have already agreed to exclude duplicates and documents
already publicly released from the scope of your request. We also note
that you agree to exclude the names and direct contact details of
non-senior staff, provided that job titles and domains of email addresses
be visible.

We are seeking your agreement to also exclude the following categories of
information from the documents in your request:

-              personal information of members of the public;

-              contact details for teams, internal to the INACC and other
agencies

Excluding the information listed above enables us to process your request
more efficiently. If you agree to the above exclusions, the names of
senior executive officers will be released where they are present in the
documents and do not attract an FOI exemption. In addition, publicly
available telephone numbers and email addresses will generally be
released.

Next steps

Please respond to this email by Monday 15 September 2025 to confirm if you
agree to the exclusion of the above information.

If you would like to discuss this further please contact the FOI Team by
phoning (02) 6141 6666 or emailing [email address].

Kind regards,
