The request was successful.

Dear State Transit Authority of NSW,
I was injured by a bus driver on 25th January 2017.
He was driving dangerously and tail-gaiting another bus.
For no apparent reason, he slammed on the brakes real hard.
This twisted my wrist backwards in the sling I was holding onto whilst standing in the bus, and wrenched all the muscles in my arm and shoulder. I am still in pain.
I cannot lift a 2ltr milk container from the fridge with the right hand.

I made a complaint of dangerous driving to STA and someone code-named "Daniel" replied. He is Customer Relations Manager, Southern Region.
I know that Hotels only have to keep CCTV Footage by law for 2 weeks.
What is the limit of time before such footage is destroyed by STA?

Daniels' communications with me have been few and sparse.
Delays may cause the destruction of footage required for me to claim medical aid in the form of scans etc to ascertain whether permanent damage has been caused.

Can you look into this matter on my behalf please?

Yours faithfully,

G.R. Hughes

Afternoon Gary,

I apologise for not responding sooner. I had issues with my email account. I have been advised STA keeps CCTV footage for 30 days, then it is destroyed.

In support of your email, I have directed the email chain onto STA for their consideration. Should you wish to retain footage, please ensure to contact STA and inform them of this;
