Dear Moree Plains Shire Council,
Could you please provide your detail income and expenditure of your Sewer Account for Last 3 years. This should include all fund received and all payments made to any entity including contractors, individuals, business etc.

Council Still has not provided the information. They stated a very unacceptable explanation -
"All those items are a summary of costs as required for reporting with councils budget processes for the financial year. These reported costs are in the format required for Moree Council to present the costs under the Local Government Act 1993.
As there are many items purchased or supplied under contract we don’t split the items down any further as there are 1,000’s of items. Competitors might then compare item costs and be at an advantage in the next negotiation round to supply an item or service."
1. Council is a not-for-profit business. Who are the council's competitors?
2. I did not ask for details of earnings, I ask for expenditure which already spend.
They charge $750 for vacant and used land, which is most probably maximum sewer charges in-country and if we consider vacant land only then it is definitely maximum.
They just do not want to share that information.
