Freedom of Information Logs - FOI Request
Dear Civil Aviation Safety Authority,
I am writing to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act for a complete copy of the departments' Freedom of Information (FOI) logs for the period 2013-2023, including any secondary departments controlled by the agency.
I request that this is provided as a document and not a simple redirect to the agency website as I am of the view that your online disclosure logs do not actively reflect your FOI requests that you have received in this period.
I would appreciate it if you could provide me with this information in an electronic format, such as a PDF or spreadsheet, if possible.
If there are any fees associated with fulfilling this request, please let me know in advance so that I can consider my options.

Further to your request I wanted to clarify regarding the FOI disclosure log. The log does not contain all FOI requests processed by CASA. This of course does not incorporate all FOI requests where they have been withdrawn, documents exempted, or an access refusal has been decided.
Additionally, under section 11C of the Act there are certain exceptions to publication, such as personal information about any person, information about the business, commercial, financial or professional affairs of any person, where documents have been heavily redacted prior to release and other information of a kind determined by the information Commissioner which would be unreasonable to publish.
I trust this provides you with a bit more of an understanding regarding the publication of accessed documents.
