Dear Department of Industry, Science, Energy & Resources,

I am writing to make a request for access to documents under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth).

I seek access to all documents held by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources relating to meeting requests involving BOSSCAP Pty Ltd (ABN 27 650 061 715) for the period 1 December 2022 to 31 December 2025.

Without limiting the scope of this request, this includes:

Emails (including internal and external correspondence)

Memos

Briefing notes

Dot points, file notes, or records of discussion

Calendar invitations or meeting coordination records

that refer to, record, or discuss meeting requests, proposed meetings, or communications seeking meetings between BOSSCAP Pty Ltd (or its representatives) and the Department.

If any documents are held in electronic form, I request that they be provided electronically.

If you consider that any part of this request may be unclear or may require refinement to facilitate processing, I would appreciate being contacted so that I may clarify or narrow the scope as necessary.

We refer to your FOI request received by the Department of Industry,
Science and Resources (the department) on 28 January 2026 for access to:

 

All documents held by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources
relating to meeting requests involving BOSSCAP Pty Ltd (ABN 27 650 061
715) for the period 1 December 2022 to 31 December 2025.

 

We are writing to seek clarification regarding the scope of your request.

 

The department comprises of many divisions that span a number of
portfolios and programme areas. Your request does not specify any program
area of the department. Nor does it contain any information that might be
used to narrow down the possibilities sufficiently to begin a search for
documents due to scope being for “All documents held by the Department of
Industry, Science and Resources relating to meeting requests involving
BOSSCAP Pty Ltd”.  

 

Without further information it is unfeasible to conduct reasonable search
of the numerous document repositories each of the programme areas of the
department use and be satisfied that all possible documents within the
scope of your request are found.

 

Could you please clarify for us what division within the department that
you believe the documents you are requesting are being held by. We have
provided a link below to the current agency structure.

 

Further, it may also be beneficial if you were to specify the content of
the meetings ie. “All documents held by the Department of Industry,
Science and Resources relating to meeting requests involving BOSSCAP Pty
Ltd relating to xxxx project / grant”.

your earliest convenience but no later than 6 February 2026.

 

Until clarification is received, the department is unable to process your
request. If no response is received by the above-mentioned date, the
