Our Reference 2020/1731

Dear Sarah

I refer to your request for access to documents under the Freedom of
Information Act 1982 (FOI Act). I have taken your request as:

Documents relating to the implementation of recommendations 1 to 5 given
by the ANAO (and agreed to by the NAA) in the audit of the 'Implementation
of the Digital Continuity 2020 Policy' available at:
[1]https://www.anao.gov.au/work/performance....
The date range is for documents created between 1 November 2019 to 29 May
2020, inclusive.

The FOI team received your request in the FOI inbox on 9 June 2020 and the
30 day statutory period for processing your request commenced from the day
after that date.

You should therefore expect a decision from us by 10 July 2020.

Due to working arrangements surrounding COVID-19 and the limitations on
coordination, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner has
suggested departments seek agreement with the FOI applicant for an
extension under section 15AA of the FOI Act.

We will advise you if we need an extension of time to process your
request.

We may seek a further extension if we need to consult third parties,
impose a charge or for other reasons.

If the decision is made to impose charges in relation to your request, you
will be notified as soon as possible, before we process any requested
documents or impose a final charge.

Please note that information released under the FOI Act may later be
published online on our disclosure log, subject to certain exceptions.
(For example, personal information will not be published where this would
be unreasonable.)

We will contact you using the email address you provided.

Please advise if you would prefer us to use an alternative means of
contact.

If you have any questions or wish to withdraw your request, please contact
[2][NAA request email]

Yours sincerely

Kamron

Dear Sarah

We note that you have not responded to our requests for an extension of
time or previous correspondence, so we have at this stage suspended this
FOI request until you provide us with your response.

In promoting the objectives of the FOI Act, the National Archives’
intention is to finalise this request at a later date, after we have
received your confirmation to continue processing.

As per our previous requests for extension, due to an increase in access
requests and limited resources, the National Archives would require more
time to appropriately finalise this request.

If you wish to continue with this request or consult with us about your
request please do not hesitate to contact us at [1][NAA request email]

Kind regards

This is a bullshit delay tactic - who cares about whether they agree or disagree to an extension - a non answer would clearly mean they agree because people have other things to do than FOI things all day.
