The Department of Veterans' Affairs (the department) has received your
request for access to information under the Freedom of Information Act
1982 (FOI Act). I note you have requested access to the following:

Your request was received by the department on 13 April 2024 and the
ordinary 30 day statutory period for processing your request commenced
from the day after that date.
If we are in a position to make a decision on your request earlier than
this date, we will endeavour to do so.
The statutory period may also be extended if we need to consult third
parties or for other reasons permitted under the FOI Act. We will advise
you if this happens.
Charges
If the Department considers that a charge will apply to your request, you
will be notified within 14 days of an estimate of the charges that will
apply to your request for non-personal information before we process any
requested documents or impose a final charge.

Thank you for your response.
The allocation of a matter to decision maker template would be how you are notified of having a new matter as a decision maker under the act, or in the case of DVA it may be allocation to an information access officer rather than a DM.
I am interested in the template to determine if instruction that are provided when a matter is assigned, if it is routine to give additional instructions based on the request, if matters are allocated prior to acknowledgement letters, if previous matters from the same applicant are listed, if the matter is assigned to a team or single info access officer with oversight from a decision maker or senior information access officer,

The Department also wanted to confirm if you agree to an extension of time under 15aa of the FOI Act.
This will assist the Department in finalising the request within time and maintain your internal review rights.

I refer to matter LEX 66816 which I request information via the right to
know website.
This information was released on 28 May 2024
I sent a follow up on June 6 stating I was unable to open the attachments
via right to know but have not recieved a response.
Could the requested documents please be sent to me on this email address?
Furthermore, I note that this request is not on your disclosure log and
request it be added, as per the legislated requirements of the act.
As this request was submitted in April and I have not been provided with
the files in a format I am able to access I would appreciate your prompt
attention to this matter.
