Interpersonal relationships impacting FOI outcomes and timeframes
Dear National Disability Insurance Agency,
I am writing to request access to documents under the Freedom of Information Act 1982.
I seek access to any documents, correspondence, or internal communications held by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) relating to:
1. Any actual, perceived, or reported conflict of interest arising from a personal/romantic relationship between the 2 current directors - Peter O and Kylie B, including whether this has had any impact on the timeframes, processing, or outcomes of FOI requests handled by the NDIA.
2. Any internal discussions or formal reviews regarding the potential effect of the above-mentioned relationship on staff morale or workplace culture, particularly in light of the recent large-scale staff dismissals and the hiring of new, less experienced personnel.
3. Any documentation discussing or assessing the basis for recent staffing changes in the FOI team, including whether decisions were influenced by factors such as race, sexual orientation, or knowledge of personal relationships among staff members or management.
Please include any emails, meeting notes, briefing documents, or internal reports created between 1 January 2024 and the present.
If any part of this request is too broad or would unreasonably divert the resources of the agency, I am happy to refine the scope in consultation with your office.
Yours faithfully,
Renee Plant
