Metadata information, copyright and all related FOI requests

Megalfar made this Freedom of Information request to Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General did not have the information requested.

Dear Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General,

I demand to obtain all information, costs, contacts, emails, regarding metadata policy, including any refused applications, hidden information, emails from corporates vested interests to the Attorney General and his office, including staff.

I demand to also obtain all meta documentation from each employee of the Liberal Party, including staff/mps/other/elected officials/diplomats/caucus MPs and liberal party leadership including party officials,

I demand to obtain meta documentation including communication with stake holders, and corporates and any related company that would benefit from having meta data, this includes the tech industry (spying, data centers, ISPs, etc), as well as other countries that would benefit from this.

And, I demand all information regarding any contact from AFP/ASIO or other goverment departments, including those such as security groups like the NSA

I demand to obtain also, any information that has yet to be released to the public via the media regarding the metadata policy, this includes any reason why this policy exists in the first place, who it benefits, and why should it be implemented.

And, I demand to obtain all emails, sms, texts, secured information apps (like the one Malcolm Turnbull uses), contact lists, dates, bank details, investment details, various organizations from media (such as Departments, IPA, 2GB, etc) to vested interests (i.e. those that have lobbied for you).

I demand to obtain all information in Parliament itself regarding your political strategy, any hidden documentation, contacts within Parliament itself, and any information such as emails, sms, txt, secured information apps (including text information, pictures, attachments, etc).

And, any and all information being sent from Parliament to political parties, staff (including all political groups, parliament staff, political groups staff, outsourced staff, third party departments, external departments, unknown departments (i.e. not known to the public such as for security or military departments).

I demand finally, to obtain any information that is being used to not only to promote this metadata policy, but also where it come from, this includes manufactures, to goverment spinners, such as IPA and the like.

I also demand to metadata from the Liberal Party HQ any and all members, MPs, caucus members, to party/goverment wisps, party branches, former and current members, treasurers (former and current) and any other member or founding member of the liberal party.

We know the goverment is using this metadata not for crime, or for terrorism, we know that this goverment is using metadata for crack down on piracy and new ways for Corporate bullies to limit real competition and real broadband.

If the goverment cannot understand this request, or out-rightly refuse my request, then the goverment cannot be believed in the safety of people's information that it will not be abused in anyway shape or form, as it has done so by both goverment departments like ASIO/AFP/NSA/GCHQ and any country variant (be it Germany to New Zealand) has been systematically been abused by goverment, and then by hackers.

Thus my claim for all meta information regarding the Government & Liberal Party and it's policy decisions is both in the public interest, but also to keep promises that were openly made in public.

This request is non-negotiable, non-refuse-able or delays will result in immediate action regarding the above!

All the requests are to be made immediately, and as soon as possible,

Yours faithfully,

Megalfar

Dear Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General's handling of my FOI request 'Metadata information, copyright and all related FOI requests'.

Considering that George Brandis, and ASIO/AFP and everyone else demanding that the public give their unlimited metadata without warrants, it's perfectly reasonable to put their money wear their mouth is (i.e. put up or shut up).

So far the request officer, has told me to shut up.

Brandis also claimed that anyone can look at his metadata, that is what I am also requesting, as a public official elected by the voters of this country.

Putting your stupid "There is nothing to see, so bugger off we are putting you under Section X for discloses" (Yes i know how do deal with stupid public departments using stupid laws so they don't give private information out (but when it comes to making laws, that allow public's private information, it's all ok for you guys).

I demand a full investigation by the Office Secretary to the Governor-General and all related Departments (as I noted previously) as to why the information is blocked one way, but goverment MPs demand public private information for no reason via metadata and other piracy related laws.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/m...

Yours faithfully,

Megalfar

It is misfortunate that the original email on this page was ever sent from Right to Know. It makes a disgusting abuse of the website. It also makes an abuse of the process of the Act--section 89L (www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/cth/consol_act/foia1982222/s89l.html).

The first email is already bad. It is not a request for documents under Australia's Freedom of Information Act. It is political rant, a diatribe, a soap-boxing and of most disgrace and shame, it is a threat. ("This request is non-negotiable, non-refuse-able or delays will result in immediate action regarding the above!"). What nonsense is this?

Under Australia's Freedom of Information Act it is not required to be rude. Nor also is it necessary to make demands. A request is the only instrument that is required and it is the only method recognized in the FOI Act to obtain access to a document.

Also in my opinion no person will genuinely believe that the Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General will have any document on any subject mentioned in the email.

The Office has very reasonably refused the request under section 24A. The requested documents do not exist.

The second email makes to pretend at a request for internal review. Of course it is not. It is more soap-boxing and shameful abuse to the writer of the email reply from the Office ("Putting your stupid ..."). It could be foretold; a person who reads every application from the Megalfar applicant can see that soapboxing and abuse is part of each request (https://www.righttoknow.org.au/user/mega...).

If you consider to use Right to Know for your own Freedom of Information request, please look at other applications for good examples of polite behavior (fx., https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/m... or https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/c...)
