People & Culture: expenditure, engagements, and procurement method with Korn Ferry (2022–present)
Dear Australian National University,
I seek access to documents held by the Australian National University relating to engagements between the People & Culture portfolio and Korn Ferry from 1 January 2022 to the present.
For the purposes of this request, external consultants and professional services includes (but is not limited to):
- management consulting,
- organisational design and workforce transformation services,
- recruitment, executive search, and talent advisory services,
- remuneration, classification, and job evaluation services,
- change management, culture, leadership, and performance frameworks,
- advisory or specialist HR services engaged externally.
I request documents that show:
1. Total expenditure by People & Culture with Korn Ferry for each calendar year; and
2. A summary of each engagement, including (where recorded):
- scope of the engagement,
- dates or duration,
- total value,
- approving delegate(s) (name and role),
- area or unit within People & Culture responsible. and
- service category (e.g. recruitment, remuneration, organisational design, leadership development).
3. Procurement method for each engagement, indicating whether the engagement was:
- through an approved panel or standing offer,
- via a procurement exemption or direct engagement, or
- through another procurement mechanism (as recorded).
This includes contracts, financial summaries, engagement summaries, procurement records, or internal reporting documents.

On 2 January 2026, the Australian National University (the University)

The University has taken your request to be as follows:

Processing Timeframe
The statutory time frame for processing your request is 30 calendar days
from day after the date your request was received by the University. You
should therefore expect a decision from us by 19 March 2026.
This period of 30 days may be extended if we need to consult third
parties, impose a charge or for other reasons. We will advise you in
writing if this happens.
