The request was refused by WA Department of Fisheries.

Dear WA Department of Fisheries,

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act.

I request documents related to the ten most recent instances where an employee has sought information, advice, guidance, or opinion on their social media use in a private capacity.

I limit the scope of documents to:
- the original request from the employee
- the agency/department's response
- any follow-up questions and response
- only those sent to a relevant HR / conduct / social media (or similar) team (rather than managers across all areas of the organisation)
- where the original request was created in the last 2 years

Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours faithfully,

James Smith

Dear Mr Smith

Thank you for your email to the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, Fisheries Divisions requesting information under the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (WA) (FOI Act).

The purpose of this email is to advise you that your correspondence can not be accepted as a valid Freedom of Information Application in accordance with section 12 of the FOI Act.

(c) give an address in Australia to which notices under this Act can be sent;
(d) give any other information or details required under the regulations;
(e) be lodged at an office of the agency with any application fee payable under the regulations.

At this point, your application cannot been accepted by this agency as it does not comply with the requirements of section 12(1)(c) and 12(1)(e) of the FOI Act. Please note that until your application complies with section 12 of the FOI Act, your application remains an invalid application and it cannot be processed by the agency.

I enclose a copy of Section 12 for your information.

Please refer to the Department's webpage where you can download our application form and make payment of the application fee (if you wish). The webpage is http://www.fish.wa.gov.au/About-Us/Pages....
