needs to consult third parties or for other reasons. We will advise you if
this happens.

information (e.g., names, contact details). The names of senior officers
will generally be disclosed. In addition, duplicates and incomplete email

Please note that, with some exceptions (such as personal information),
documents released under the FOI Act may later be published online on the
department’s disclosure log

Dear AGDs,

Thank you for your email. The following information may help your search:

The Australian Senate had a continuing order which required departments and agencies to provide to the Senate a list of indexed lists of files created by them. The Senate advised us that the file number and title we referred to was created by AGDs. From what I understand the document's title is 'Attorney General's Department Indexed File Lists - Sorted Numerically 1 January 2012 - 30 June 2012'. The Office of Parliamentary Council advise that they hold 29 documents related to ‘a file with number 12/5946 relating to the HOSM Amendment Regulation: Iraq clasp’. I hope this helps.

Thanks for your time.

Yours sincerely,

Trav S

Good morning Leonie,
Thank you for your email. Yes, that is the document we would like a copy of if possible. If you come across related documents in your searches we would greatly appreciate you letting us know.
Thank you again for your time, we really appreciate the help.
Yours sincerely,
Trav S

FOI Requests, Attorney-General's Department

OFFICIAL

Dear Trav S

Freedom of Information Request FOI21/133

I refer to your request under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI
Act) for access to documents.

The purpose of this email is to advise you that the period for processing
your request has been extended by 30 days to allow the department to
undertake consultation with a third party. The new date for the completion
of your FOI request is 5 October 2021.

In your correspondence with us you indicated you were interested in the
file title: 'Humanitarian Overseas Service Medal Amendment Regulation:
Iraq clasp' and other related information.

The department is able to provide to you an edited version of the file
list that is filtered for any file titles that refer to ‘medal’. If you
agree to an edited version of the list as the document for your request,
the department will be able to provide your decision before the new due
date.

The FOI Act requires the department to consult with third parties before
making a decision about the release of documents containing their
information.

Please note that, while the department will take the third party’s
comments into consideration, the department will make the final decision
regarding access to the relevant documents.

More information is available on the Office of the Australian Information
Commissioner’s Website. Information about extensions of time can be
accessed from:
https://www.oaic.gov.au/freedom-of-infor...

If you have any questions, please contact me by telephone on (02) 6141
6666 or by email to [1][AGD request email].
