Capt John A Varley (Rtd)

Dear MBX FOI,
In late 1988, through a family friend, I made a $1000 investment in Lightning Ridge Air Charter Pty Ltd. Recently, it was found, that NSW Revenue (Unclaimed money) had $300 in the name of John Anthony Varley. I proved it was me by various documents (Claimant ID 178625810).
The reason for the investment was, so I was told, I would be upgraded on flights with Qantas & BA. That was proven wrong. I was also interested in a potential an investment by ISAVIA airlines.
Having proved who I was 'unclaimed money' stated they were extending their hold on funds for a further year. After 36 years I am entitled, I believe, to understand what exactly is going on. I will be 84 in May and possibly the only person still alive in this saga. There can't be any reason,, after all this time, to keep this running.
After all this time I'm very interested in exactly what happened to this company.
ours sincerely,

Capt John A Varley (Rtd)
