Dear Wagga Wagga City Council,

I like to seek information in regards to WWCC's Smart Irrigation Pilot.

From the 2019-2020 Delivery Program and Operational Plan

"Single Pilot Installation, to assess capabilities of the system, plus verify costs and savings prior to rolling out to the remaining parks and gardens"

In what form of products were provided in this Single Pilot Installation to make it a Smart Irrigation Pilot?? Also what due diligence was made to justify the installation of select products??

From the 2020/21 One-Off Capital Works Delivery Program

An amount of $150,000 has been allocated for future years 21/22 - 2029/30. Knowing the "pilot" was for $49.995, Does this $150,000 for ongoing costs of the pilot? or is this for further installations around the WWCC area? Or is this for select products from the pilot to be installed elsewhere?

from the Local Government NSW Increasing resilience to climate change program – Round 2 projects

"Smarter Sportsground Systems is designed to increase the resilience of playing surfaces
in sporting facilities and save water by trialling smart irrigation technology in the Jubilee
Park Sporting Complex. If proven successful, this scalable system will be rolled out to all
priority sportsgrounds and parks in the council area and the results provided to other NSW councils."

In what form of products will be looked at to be installed at Jubilee Park to help save water?? Also what due diligence was made to justify the installation of select products?? What results do you see being shared with other nsw councils?

Yours faithfully,

John S
