Anthony Maher made this Freedom of Information request to WA Department of the Premier and Cabinet

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

WA Department of the Premier and Cabinet did not have the information requested.

Dear WA Department of the Premier and Cabinet,

I am seeking the total amount paid to an external agency for the development of

http://www.morepowertoyou.wa.gov.au/

There have been rumors circling that the development of this website was extremely high, and as such I am seeking the amount paid to assure the public that their tax dollars are not being squandered, particularly in this economic climate

Yours faithfully,

Anthony Maher

Paice, David, WA Department of the Premier and Cabinet

Dear Anthony,

I refer to your FOI request for documentation relating to the total amount paid for the website http://www.morepowertoyou.wa.gov.au/

In reference to the specific information that is the subject of your request, I can advise that the relevant documentation is held by the Department of Finance (not the Department of the Premier and Cabinet WA). This has been confirmed with the Department of Finance.

Furthermore, for an FOI application to be valid under the WA FOI Act (in accordance with Section 12(1)(a-e)) you are required to give an address in Australia to which notices under this Act can be sent and lodged and provide the $30 application fee.

Please refer to the Department of Finance's webpage below where you can obtain the relevant details as well as the application form in order to apply for access to the documents containing the information requested.

Hi Anthony,

I'd first suggest you go ahead and make a new request for this information from the WA Department of Finance:

https://www.righttoknow.org.au/body/wa_d...

You might also start by asking them for access to this information outside the FOI Act, as the WA Office of the Information Commissioner suggests:

http://foi.wa.gov.au/en-us/FTP003

Best of luck!
